Just a note to thank you for all you did to help us find our wonderful new home in Edgemont. As long-time Brooklyn residents, Scarlet and I certainly are “city people,” but there’s a lot about Edgemont that appeals to us.
Scarlet grew up in Edgemont, and her parents still live there. We decided that we want our two boys to grow up in that same suburban environment, with excellent schools and close family nearby. At the same time, we knew that the type of home we wanted wouldn’t be that easy to find. The typical Scarsdale home is very traditional, very conservative. We were interested in something more modern, more unique, with a lot of upgrades.
That’s why we’re so happy we turned to you for help as our Buyer’s Broker. We spoke with a few other brokers, but you quickly understood what we wanted and showed us that you had deep knowledge of the area and the market.
We were particularly impressed with your method of screening properties. Since we both work and have the two boys, we didn’t have a lot of time to visit new listings. So it was great that you stayed on top of any new listings and previewed the properties for us. We really liked your commentaries and feedback, and regular updates on our target market, sales in the area, and price changes.
The home that you found for us met almost all of our criteria. The architect who owned it had customized and upgraded much of the home, and he also added an annex that matches our taste for the unique and eclectic.
You particularly shined in the negotiation process and your ability to handle so many of the details. Working on Wall Street I’m involved in complicated transactions, but I would have to rate buying a home as about as detailed as it can get. You made sure that we went into the purchase fully informed and with our eyes open, and kept the myriad details organized and under control.
Overall, we appreciate that you’re a very upfront, candid real estate professional who doesn’t try to embellish a property just to make a quick sale. We received quantitative and qualitative feedback about individual properties based on hard data and your years of experience.
Even after the closing, you’re still providing post-sale services, such as letting workmen into the house when we’re at work. You were always attentive, prompt, and accessible, and we would highly recommend your services to family and friends.
